Laidlaw Group has been providing investment management services to advisors since 2006. The firm offers its Large Cap Core, Multi-Cap High Dividend and Small Cap Core portfolios to serve as building blocks for end-client portfolios. Our disciplined fundamental management produces lower Beta portfolios that preserve capital in down markets and produce superior risk-adjusted returns over time.

Investment Process
Proprietary back-tested fundamental screens are used to find investments. The universe of publicly traded companies with market caps depending on the product. Rankings are analyzed weekly for new ideas and to review current holdings.
The results are analyzed as followed:
- Sustainable Growth Potential: scrutinize the business to understand the marketplace and competitive landscape
- Earnings Quality: share dilution and one-time charges are avoided
- Management Quality/Shareholder Potential: transparency of annual reports
- Valuation: proprietary models used for valuations with in house projections- independence from Wall Street estimates is maintained
Portfolio Characteristics: Equity portfolios generally consist of 20-25 names with approximately 25% turnover.
Economic and Sector Analysis: Laidlaw Group will over and under-weights certain sectors within its portfolios based on our views of the macro-economic trends. No S&P sector is weighted over 30% of equities.
Sell Discipline: Selling is done to diversify the portfolios with position limits of 8%. Selling is done when fundamental analysis indicates that the security is fairly valued and no longer sells at a discount. Selling is also done when subsequent events and research indicate that the original investment rationale was flawed.
Investment Products
Laidlaw offers three products to Advisors. Each product is managed with Laidlaw's philosophy: invest in undervalued yet profitable companies with high returns on capital, strong growth potential and strong balance sheets.
Large Cap Equity- Core: This style focuses on market caps greater than $1.5 billion. The main objective is total return. This product has outperformed the Russell 1000 since inception in 12/31/1999 and over the last 3, 5 & 7 year periods.

Multi Cap Equity- Dividend: This style focuses on market caps greater than $1.5 billion; high yield small cap names are added. Increased weights are given to high dividend paying stocks. The goal is to achieve a dividend yield higher than broad market indices. This product has outperformed the Russell 1000 Value since inception in 12/31/1999 and over the last 3, 5 & 7 year periods.

Small Cap Equity- Core: This style focuses on less efficiently priced equities with market caps of $100 million to $1.5 billion. The main objective is to exploit pricing inefficiencies in those securities not closely followed by Wall Street. This product has outperformed the Russell 2000 since inception in 12/31/1999 and over the last 3 & 5 year periods.
